UDOT to grind, pave Monticello Main Street

The Utah Department of Transportation is nearing completion of a passing lane project north of Monticello and advises area residents and business owners of another road construction project that will interrupt traffic flow and parking through town in the coming weeks.

Paving operations on a passing lane project on U.S. 191 will be complete by the second week in August.

Additional work will add new pavement to U.S. 191 from 700 South to the Monticello airport. Crews will first work on the section north of town with traffic reduced to one lane in alternating directions as directed by flaggers and pilot cars through a 1-mile-long construction zone. Motorists should expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
