The Monument Valley High School football team suffered a 44-0 loss to Utah Military Academy Camp Williams in an 8-player state play-in game this past Friday, October 25.
The Cougars were hoping to upset the Marauders and earn a birth in the 2024 8-player state tournament but it was not to be. They end the season with an 0-9 record.
Highlights on the season include a 24-point game in Altamont on October 4 in which Monument Valley lost by their closest margin of the year 48-24.
The Cougars scored 20 points on Navajo Pine on September 20 in a 52-20 loss. In the final game of the regular season they suffered a 60-14 loss to the longtime rival Whitehorse Raiders in the Battle of the Drum.
