San Juan County election results to be delayed "several days"

Election results in San Juan County will be delayed for several days after a series of challenges disrupted the November 3 general election. Preliminary results will be released soon. With nearly 1,000 votes counted, there are still several thousand more to be counted, including all ballots that were cast on election day. An election day "perfect storm" hit San Juan County, with massive flooding in many areas, an emergency election statement in San Juan County declared by the State of Utah, and illness in the county election office. San Juan County election officials state that it will be "several days" before full results are released.
