County Administrator earns credential
Mack McDonald, Chief Administrative Officer of San Juan County, has received the Credentialed Manager designation from ICMA, the International City/County Management Association.
McDonald is one of 1,600 local government professionals currently credentialed by ICMA.
To receive the ICMA credential, a member must have significant experience as a senior management executive in local government; earn a degree, preferably in public administration or a related field; and demonstrate a commitment to high standards of integrity and lifelong learning and professional development.
McDonald has over 20 years of local government executive experience. Prior to coming to San Juan County, he served in government sector jobs in Davis County, Iraq, and Afghanistan with the U.S. Department of State, the State of Utah, and Salt Lake City.
