San Juan Economic Development announces the fourth annual San Juan County Business Basecamp Conference and Expo on Monday, April 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the USU Blanding Arts & Events Center.
Tickets are $30 per person and provide access to the entire event, including informative breakout sessions, networking opportunities, complimentary breakfast and lunch, and a chance to win raffle prizes thru out the day.
Basecamp organizers invite small and large businesses, startups, government entities, nonprofit organizations and all interested persons to attend the one day in-person conference.
Participants from outside the county are welcome to take part in the event and anyone from the Four Corners region is highly encouraged to attend.
This annual event offers the perfect setting to connect, learn, and get the answers you need to take your business to the next level.
Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or just starting out, the conference with its variety of classes, panels, and information is designed to inspire and equip local businesses for success.
Shaped by feedback from our local business community, classes and panel discussions will cover topics of high interest such as: start-up initiatives; payrolls and taxes; how to sell your business; technical assistance; marketing to locals; grants and grant writing; interviews; employee problems; department of workforce services; cottaging and agricultural production laws; women in business; what it’s like to start a business in San Juan County, and more.
A Vendor Expo attached to the event will have local business from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Food Truck Pop Ups will be open to the Public from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. These will be located in the HSL building and the Parking Lot area.
Economic Development Manager Talia Hansen is excited for the plans they have for the basecamp conference. Talia notes that the Economic Development Board is an advocate for rural businesses. “We are here for you. We can help you. We want you to succeed,” she says.
