Reward offered in poaching case
The carcass of a trophy buck deer was located by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources on August 21 near Kigalia Point on the south end of the Elk Ridge unit. The buck had six antler points on each side of its trophy rack. The animal was shot with a firearm before the general archery buck deer hunt opened on August 21. The carcass and the antlers were abandoned in the field and left to rot. Anyone with information concerning this poaching case is encouraged to contact Sergeant Justin Shirley with DWR at (435) 220-0526. Rewards are available and confidentiality will be honored upon request. Courtesy photo
