Preparedness guides distributed

Local residents may be seeing a valuable tool in their mailbox soon, an emergency preparedness guide distributed by the Southeast Utah District Health Department.

The booklet will assist people in developing their own family disaster plan. One of the goals is to help each family be better prepared for disaster situations, which includes pandemic influenza. The department also encourages citizens to volunteer and to get involved with their local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and/or Medical Reserve Corp (MRC).
