New ramp due to low water at Lake Powell

The Bullfrog Marina ramp area at Lake Powell is going to be adjusted to ensure recreation is possible as officials continue to prepare for lower water levels this summer.
Concessions provider Aramark plans to temporarily move the Bullfrog Marina on the western shore of Lake Powell closer to Halls Crossing Marina on the other side of the eastern shore, beginning in late April, park officials noted on Wednesday.
The measure seeks to provide “reliable services” while the nation’s second-largest reservoir has fallen to 25% capacity, and it may not receive much of a snowmelt bump this year.
The snow has been been 36 percent of normal in 2026, which is the fifth lowest ever. The marina is expected to reopen in its new location by mid-May.
The Bullfrog North ramp within a few inches of being unusable. The auxiliary ramp near Wahweap is the only usable ramp right now. The bottom of the main Bullfrog ramp is 48 feet above the water line, Halls Crossing ramp is 26 feet above the water line
Lake Powell 31 feet below the water level at this time last year. 170 feet below full. 23.8 percent full.
