Old timer finally gets trophy elk

An old timer from San Juan County finally got his trophy elk hunt!  Clay Pehrson shot an elk on September 15 on Elk Ridge, close to the Bears Ears near the Wooden Shoe area. Clay has had maximum points for  the coveted hunt and submitted for a license for many years before he finally drew out this year.  At 79 years old, Clay has waited for this rifle hunt for many years!
