Wendy Carter Daniels
August 7, 1970 ~ May 1, 2009
Wendy Lyn Carter Daniels was born to Lynn Carter and Shirley Pipkin Carter on August 7, 1970 in Battle Mountain, NV. She passed away in Murray, UT on May 1, 2009.
She lived in Moab, UT from the time she was three weeks old until the end of kindergarten and in Thornton, CO from 1976 to 1986. She graduated from Cascade High School in Cascade, ID in 1988.
She attended Boise State University for one year on a marching band scholarship.
Wendy married Jeff Daniels on August 20, 1994 in Cascade. Wendy and Jeff lived in the Salt Lake City area for the last several years.
Wendy had a remarkable talent for music. She played several instruments including violin, guitar, keyboards, piano, saxophone, oboe, harmonica, and flute and had a beautiful singing voice.
Wendy had a heart bigger than the Montana sky, and despite her often difficult personal circumstances, she always reached out to help others. Although she was not blessed with children of her own, she cared for several of her friend’s children in such a loving way.
Wendy was diagnosed with Type I diabetes in 1982 and was on dialysis for the last six years. She was a very strong person and battled this disease courageously until the end.
Wendy is survived by her parents, Lynn and Shirley; her husband Jeff; her brother Bill (Elizabeth) Carter; her sister Jodie Carter Peltz (Vernon); her nephew Eric Peltz, her nieces Catherine Carter Corcione and Kerri Lyn Carter Kirk; great-nieces Sierra Corcione and Phoenix Kirk, and great-nephew Kobi Corcione.
A memorial service was held at the LDS Church in Magna, UT on May 7, 2009. A graveside service was held on May 9, 2009 in Monticello.
