Wendell Wilford Frost

May 17, 1923 ~ January 5, 2010

Wendell Wilford Frost, 88; passed away January 5, 2010 at home in Mesa, AZ. 

He was born to Wilford Anderson Frost and Theresa Eldora Lewis on May 17, 1921 in Monticello, UT.

He lived in his beloved Monticello until moving to Mesa in 2007 for health reasons. He served as a Marine during World War II (June 1942 to October 1945) in the Pacific.

He married Afton Barton in the Mesa Arizona Temple on January 30, 1948. They are the parents of eight children. Wendell supported his family by farming, ranching and working at Blue Mountain Meats.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as ward clerk for many years, as a stake missionary in Bluff and as High Priest Group Leader. He especially loved serving in the Monticello Utah Temple and was a faithful home teacher.

He is survived by his wife Afton and their children: Jaynann (Coleman), Jack, Jolene (Kempton), Joycelyn (Fox), Dee, Judy (Nelson), Jeri Sue (Stanger), Jana Rae (Spencer), 41 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Harold Frost and his sister Erma Ransdell.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Rae Randall Kiser and Lucy White. Funeral Services were January 11, 2010; interment at the  Monticello Cemetery.
