Sandra Jean Juliar Laidig

Loving mother of two

Sandra Jean Juliar Laidig of Salt Lake City UT passed away April 15, 2009 at the age of 71 of renal failure. She’s the oldest child of Vernon and Grace Juliar of Pemberton, MN.

Sandra married Ernst Laidig in the Medo Lutheran Church near Pemberton, MN in June, 1961 after meeting each other at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN.

They moved to San Jose, CA to begin their family, which grew to include two children, Linda and Robert (Bob).

Sandra enjoyed Blue Earth County and instilled a sense of home and belonging in her children, with visits to the family farm in order for her children to be part of the extended family.

In 1978, Sandra and Ernst moved to Monticello, UT and become proprietors of a motel utilizing the tourist trade caused by the national parks of the Four Corners area of southern Utah.

Ernst preceeded Sandra’s death in 1986.

Sandra moved between Monticello and southern Minnesota after Ernst’s death. In 2006, Sandra moved in with her son Bob in Salt Lake City, UT.

Sandra is survived by her children: Linda (Dwight) Rogers, Robert Laidig, her siblings Lyle (Ursula) Juliar, Barb Weyhrauch, Donna (Stan) Tesch, Pam (John) Oliver, and her grandchildren Deanna Cornell, Todd Rogers and Kayli Rogers.

Interment will be in the city cemetery in Monticello, UT.
