Ruth Elaine Meyers Darland

Memorial services for Cortez resident Ruth Elaine Meyers Darland will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Montelores Baptist Church.

Ruth was born on January 9, 1927 in Rock Springs, WY, the daughter of William A. and Velma O. (Anderson) Meyers. She passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Madison House at the age of 82.

On June 13, 1946, Ruth married Delbert Darland. She was a devoted member of Montelores Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed being a part of a book club and the Senior Citizens Group.

Surviving Ruth are her children, Sharon K. (Larry) Sanchez of Cortez, Clifford Allen (Donna) Darland of Cortez, Darell W. (Deb) Darland of Delta Junction, AK, Bille D. (Lois) Darland of Gillette, WY; and sister June Thompkins of Logan, UT. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents.

Services are under the direction of Ertel Funeral Home.
