Rowena G. “Rae” Robinett

Funeral services for Rowena G. Robinett, a lifelong resident of Dove Creek, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8 at the Dove Creek Assembly of God Church.
Pastor Greg Liming will officiate. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery.
Visitation has been set for Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Rae, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Gentryville, MO on December 23, 1917 to Charley David Good and Helen Louise (Parker) Good. She passed away at her Dove Creek residence on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the age of 97.
Rae married Everett Jasper Robinett in 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT. She taught school for numerous years in Monticello, Blanding, and Cross Canyon School in Dove Creek.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Christmas was a special time of year to Rae and she loved hanging lights to decorate her home. She also enjoyed gardening word puzzles, cooking and her dogs.
Surviving Rae are her son, Duane Robinett of Dove Creek; seven grandchildren, Stevie Sanchez, Darrell Robinett, Clayton Robinett, Journey Ranessa Robinett, James Lay, Joseph Foster, and Michael Foster; seven great-grandchildren, O’Ryah, Justys, Everett, Serenity, Kylena, Arianna, and Lucas; one sister, Ogrita Vinger; nephew, Jimmy Robinett; and nieces, Jacque Vinger and Martha Hammond.
Rae is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Tanya Robinett; grandson Brandon Robinett; and nephew Greg Vinger.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory or Rowena Robinett to the Dove Creek VFW. Services are under the direction of Ertel Funeral Home.
