Rosa Lee Thobe

August 22, 1945 ~ April 26, 2017
Our beautiful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home on April 26, 2017.
Rosa was born on August 22, 1945 in Hazard, KY.
She had six children, two step-children, 19 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her family was her life.
She was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She raised not only her children, but several grandchildren.
She enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved her flowers, the outdoors, old barns and bridges.
She battled emphysema and COPD for 20 years until it took her away.
She was a wonderful teacher, with a career that started when she was in her 30s. She enjoyed the children she taught.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Thobe; daughters Lori Hickman of Florida, Sandy Evans of Clearfield, UT, Lynn (Rich) CasaSasanta of Valpariso, FL, Duane Thobe of Virginia, Kim Thobe of Salt Lake City, UT, Trina Thobe of Monticello and Tiffany Montono of Monticello, UT; several grand- and great-grandchildren, sister, Linda of Ohio, and Joe Thobe of Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by daughter Kathy Ann Thobe and son Daniel Perry Thobe.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. We know she is in a much better place where she no longer suffers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 3 at San Juan Mortuary in Blanding. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. Interment at the Blanding Cemetery.
