Rita B. (Brunatti) Butler
March 3, 1934 ~ July 3, 2011
Rita B. Butler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, still in her prime of life, died suddenly of natural causes on July 3, 2011, at the age of 77.
She was born March 3, 1934 in Salt Lake City, UT, the daughter of Renaldo J. and Ida S. Brunatti.
Rita married Dean Butler May 23, 1953 in the Cathedral of the Madeleine, Salt Lake City, UT.
They enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage. She graduated from South High School, and attended Utah State University.
She worked for Lyman Insurance Co. in Monticello, UT, and retired as an assistant controller from O.C. Tanner.
Rita was a parishioner of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church for 46 years. A life-time member of the Italian-American Civic League, she held numerous positions. She and her husband enjoyed spending time with their family, boating, water skiing and picnics in the country with their dogs.
She is survived by her husband Dean Butler, daughter Cynthia (Mark) Pimental, granddaughter Dana Watrous, mother Ida Stonda Brunatti, brothers Reynold J. (Gayle) Brunatti and Dennis R. Brunatti and her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Renaldo J. Brunatti and their beloved grandson Travis Dylan Watrous.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday July, 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in her honor.
