Reva Vickers Redd-Bailey

_January 1, 1915 ~ September 28, 2007_

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Reva Vickers Redd-Bailey, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake City and returned to her Heavenly Father on September 28, 2007.

She was born on January 1, 1915 in Nephi, Utah to Vernon Hugh and Martha Ellen Howarth Vickers. After the death of her father, her mother married Lester B. Belliston, creating a sweet union of two families.

She graduated from Juab High School and received a Bachelors degree in Education from Brigham Young University, where she met Parley Vincent Redd. They were married in the Manti Temple on June 25, 1940.

They shared a special life together and were blessed to serve an LDS mission at the Mesa, Arizona Temple Visitors Center and as ordinance workers.

She was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed sharing this talent with others. She led numerous choirs throughout the years, within the LDS Church and within her community.

She taught Physical Education, Reading and Music at San Juan High School for more than 30 years, where she continues to be remembered as a superior teacher that expected only the best from her students.

After the death of her husband, she was fortunate to find another companion in Loile J. Bailey. She shared many years of happiness with him, his children, and grandchildren.

She is survived by her only child, Bryce Vincent Redd, and his wife, Cathy Mihlberger Redd of Blanding, Utah; and grandchildren Jeremy Bryce (Kristi) Redd, Dallin Mihlberger (Leslie) Redd, Mindy Redd (Michael) Moulton, Nicole Redd; six great-grandchildren; and her husband, Loile of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services are October 4 at noon in the Blanding LDS Stake Center. Interment in the San Juan Cemetery.
