Patricia Jean Clark “Pat” Huskey

November 2, 1942 ~ April 5, 2010
Funeral services for Dove Creek resident Patricia Jean Clark “Pat” Huskey were April 9 at the Dove Creek First Baptist Church. Interment followed at the Dove Creek Cemetery.
Pat was born November 2, 1942 in Meeker, CO, the daughter of Jack LeRoy and Zona (Harvey) Clark. She passed away in Dove Creek on Monday, April 5, 2010, at the age of 67.
Pat married Jerry Huskey in Sedona, AZ. Active in community affairs, Pat was the first woman elected to the Monticello City Council, a seat she won by write-in ballot. She served in that capacity from 1976-1980.
Pat was a member of Soroptomist International and worked hard at fund raising for service projects.
She was instrumental in the development of child care in Dove Creek, and was a member of the Dove Nest Board for child care. Pat took great pride in her job as county assessor, a job she held for 18 years. Pat enjoyed outside activities of camping, four wheeling, and horseback riding. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and volunteer work. Mostly, though, her greatest joy came from her grandchildren.
Surviving Pat are her husband of 33 years, Jerry Huskey of Dove Creek; children Becky (Dave) Heard of Davis, CA, Jimi Howell of Monticello, UT, Travis Randolph (LaRita) of Dove Creek, CO, and Jack Huskey of Montrose, CO; nine grandchildren, Mike and Matthew Heard, Erin and Jessica Stalker, Rebecca Howell, Levi, Dalton, Chance, and LaRissa Randolph. Also surviving Pat are siblings, Gwen (Tom) Rassmusen of Kingman, AZ, John (Sheila) Clark of Roosevelt, UT, Gordon (Susan) Hyde of Sandy, UT, Linda (Norman) Dilley of Tucson, AZ, Diane (David) Bradford of Blanding, UT, and Leslie Kelly of Texas. Preceding Pat are her parents.
