Morgan Rae Davenport

This world is full of beauty and heartache and with Morgan Rae we experience both…the beauty of her joyful soul and the heartbreak of losing her so young.
We will never understand why our Heavenly Father took her at such a tender age, but we rest in the knowledge that her journey continues in the presence of our Lord and those that have gone before us.
Morgan was a high spirited, adventure-seeking cowgirl who loved horses, the open skies, and a good baseball cap. Her talents were many; she could dash about a volleyball court, command a basketball, and create drawings that would take your breath away. She and her dad were refurbishing a 1966 Ford Mustang that, without a doubt, will be amazing.
Morgan was blessed with good friends, young and old, that helped form the strong young lady she had become. Her parents are forever grateful for all those who shared in her life and growth. Morgan brought great joy and happiness to her family and friends and will be missed by all.
At the time of her passing, Morgan had ventured to Montana with family friends to train horses and help out on the ranch. She was so looking forward to this trip, but fell ill shortly upon arrival and passed in her sleep from a diabetic incident.
We are heartbroken and incredibly sad that we won’t get to watch her fiery spirit take on this world, but the mark she left was worthy of a life well lived and greatly loved.
Morgan is survived by her parents, Lisa Eakins Klene (Carl), Ed Davenport; sisters Laci (Mark) Vasi and Shawna (Chris) Wilder; and a large extended family.
In honor of Morgan’s cowgirl spirit, the family will be wearing western wear. We encourage all who attend her service to join us. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (www.jdrf.org/arizona).
Services will be held Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 3180 Rutherford St. Kingman, AZ.
