Mitchell Davis Hawkins

December 20, 1955 ~ March 20, 2013
Mitchell Davis Hawkins was born on December 20, 1955 in Monticello, UT to Edwin and Betty Hawkins of Blanding, UT.
Big sister Ann couldn’t wait for baby brother to come home. Dad and Mom were happy to get a boy so much that Dad hardly ever put him down and toted him along wherever he went. Mitch returned home to his Father in Heaven on March 20, 2013.
He married, and later divorced, “The love of his life”, JoLeen Hatch Pfeiffer.
Mitch was a very friendly and giving person. He was strong and independent. He raised his two daughters, Kristi and Andrea, with lots of love and support from many family members.
Mitch was a man of many trades. He talked a lot about working in the mines and also the construction of the Recapture Dam in Blanding. Mitch drove truck for many years and enjoyed it.
Mitch lived in Blanding most of his life, but was able to enjoy the last 19 months in Blackfoot, ID with his daughters and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his baby brother, Kent Blain Hawkins.
He is survived by his parents, Edwin and Betty Hawkins; Ann (Mike) Excell, Ed (Julie) Hawkins, Clark (Ann) Hawkins; sister-in-law and close friend Barb (Eric) Kartchner; daughters, Kristi (Woody) Bullock, Andrea (Sol) Adams, stepdaughter Jessica (Ben) Clark; son, Nick (Jessica) Chontos; and 13 1/2 grandchildren.
We are all thankful for the time we had with him here on this earth and are grateful for the knowledge we have of the gospel and of eternal families. We look forward to being with him again!
