Leslie Nina Hyde Kelley April 24, 1957 ~ May 19, 2026

Leslie Nina Hyde Kelley was born on April 24, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT the fourth and last child of Edward Gordon and Dona Ruth Hyde. She was named after her Grandpa Leslie Anderson and Grandmother Nina Hyde.
Leslie lived in Monticello and Los Angeles in her youth and graduated from Monticello High School in 1974. That same year, she married Oren Montgomery in Killeen TX.
In 1986, she married William David Kelley.
Leslie’s children include Misty Montgomery, Roddy Brandon Kelley, Courtney Lee Kelley, Murl Clinton Kelley, Gordon Brett Kelley, and Justin Kelley.
She lived, worked and enjoyed adventures in many locations, including Los Angeles, Texas, Blanding and Monticello.
Leslie was always the life of the party: confident, outgoing and friendly. She was full of energy and a real people person.
Life was one big party for Leslie, meant to be lived at a fast pace. She made everything more fun. If she wasn't working, she was playing or socializing.
She never looked down the road; everything was in the moment and she never worried about tomorrow.
“Ministering” came naturally to Leslie and she was good at it. She gave her time to everyone, everywhere, anytime. If you ever needed her physical help, even in the middle of the night, she never asked why, she never made excuses, she never complained, she put on her shoes and came running.
Leslie had a great tolerance for pain, never complaining about any pain she endured, even the cancer. Cancer was the only thing she could not overcome, but she held out hope and fought hard right up to her last breath.
Leslie passed away on May 19, 2026 in Monticello, at the age of 69.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Misty Montgomery, son Murl Clinton Kelley, and grandchild Taylee Jade Kelley.
She is survived by her children Roddy, Courtney, Brett and Justin, grandchildren Caydence, Raylee, Javin, Clinton, Devyn, Kaleb, and Katie, siblings Diane Bradford, Lynda Ruth Hyde Dilley, Gordon Lynn Hyde, and Lynn Lonnie Holdeman, and many friends and extended family.
