Lenore H. Wilkin

March 13, 1923 ~ December 30, 2011
Our beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, aunt, sister, and friend Lee Wilkin passed away December 30, 2011 at her home in Monticello after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born March 13, 1923 in Monticello, UT to Lloyd Hardin and Jennie Mae King Hardin. She married Glen E Wilkin December 24, 1940 in Moab UT.
Together they raised three amazing children, Deanie, Linda, and Walt.
Lee and Glen were blessed with 50 years of marriage before Glen passed away in 1991. Lee later married long-time friend Ed Fincher and they enjoyed seven wonderful years together before he passed away.
Lee was always a “ray of sunshine” and loved to make everyone around her laugh. She truly touched the heart of each and every person she ever met.
She is survived by her children, Glendeana L Wood, Linda K Slavin (Gaylen) Hill and Walter W (Lila) Wilkin, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, brothers Pudge (Doris) Pehrson, Clay (Shirley) Pehrson, sister Shirley Berg, numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Lee is preceded in death by husbands Glen Wilkin and Ed Fincher, sisters Verna Boyer and Beryl Adams, parents, and grandson Lyle Wilkin.
In honoring her wishes, no funeral services will be held. A Celebration of Life was held January 3 at the Senior Center in Monticello. Cremation has occurred and a family graveside service will be held at a later date.
All of Lee’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her many friends for all the love and support that has been given to her over the past several years. They would also like to send a very special “Thank you” to the remarkable people that have been her nurses and companions over the last 15 months.
