Lauren Grace Watson

March 14, 2013
For nine months, Lauren spent her time growing, kicking and listening to her big sisters while they spoke to her in excited anticipation.
Then, early on a Thursday morning, our little one came to us asleep, three days before her due date. She was beautiful, perfectly formed in every way, 7 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long. An Earthly life so brief, yet she touches so many with her spirit. We love her more than words can express.
Our family grieves her loss, and we will miss her every day until we meet again. She was buried in Orem, UT on March 16, near her aunt.
Although we do not understand why she had to leave so soon, her life has taught us many lessons: that we are not in control of what happens, only how we react to it, that each tiny life is precious, that a crying baby in the middle of the night is much better than the quiet, and that as hard as it is, sometimes we need to accept the kindness of others.
We appreciate everyone who served us in any way, especially those who prayed for us. We cannot thank you enough. We thank everyone at the San Juan clinic and hospital who gave such great care in a difficult time. We could never express the gratefulness we feel for the three Angel ladies who comforted us and helped preserve sweet memories of our short time with Lauren. You are truly amazing. We have felt so much love in our time of grief. “There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.”
