Larry Jones March 11, 1957 ~ April 27, 2026

Our beloved Larry Jones, 69, of Midvale, Utah passed away peacefully in his home on Monday morning, April 27, 2026. Larry had fought a long battle of liver disease and had a decline of kidney function.
Larry Jones was born in Westwater, Utah, just West of Blanding, Utah on March 11, 1957 to Drake and Gladys Jones. Larry was known for having a big heart.
He had such love for his family and friends. He was kind and funny, a man who acted silly for the simple joy and laughter of those around him.
He was an outdoor enthusiast for fishing, hunting, and hiking. Larry was a risk taker for gambling, a tremendous at-home mechanic, and a creative craftsman.
Larry Jones graduated from San Juan High School. He later had a long-decorated career as a carpenter and concrete finisher as evidenced by the numerous projects that he had his hands on, both near and far working with Oakland Construction, where he retired in 2014.
After his retirement, Larry dedicated his time to his wife and family, including all of his grandchildren and his great grandson. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing with his kids and numerous nephews and nieces. Larry also enjoyed gambling with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Jane Jones, and their 4 children; Djay (Rosemary), Sinashya (Michael), Devin (Lauren), and Shaina (Shane).
He is also survived by his grandchildren who he loved deeply; Marcella, Constance, Djay Jr., Elena, Sophia, Shilaya, Leland, Roisin, Keira, and Shane III, and his great grandson Loki.
Services were held May 1 at the North LDS Chapel in Blanding. Larry’s final resting place is the Blanding City Cemetery.
