Kristin E. Hughes

April 22, 1989 ~ January 2, 2008

Kristin Emily Hughes was born April 22, 1989 in Bountiful, Utah. She had a fighting spirit that allowed her to overcome her prematurity at birth.

She returned to her Heavenly Father on January 2, 2008.

Kristin loved being a big sister. Her loving spirit was an example to us all.

Kristin was always willing to help others, contributing her hair many times to “Locks of Love”.

In June, 2007, Kristin graduated from Woods Cross High School. Because of her love of animals (especially dogs), she started studying at the University of Utah, intending to become a veterinarian.

Kristin loved to make people laugh. Her humor allowed us to laugh at each other and at ourselves. She was shining light to us all.

Kristin is survived by her parents, Brian and Nicolle Hughes of North Salt Lake and Tami and Kendall Fuller of La Sal, UT; sisters Brittany and Mikaela Hughes of La Sal, Amanda Fuller of Sugarhouse, UT; brothers Daniel Fuller, serving an LDS mission in Uruguay, Sean and Nate Fuller of La Sal; grandparents, Dwayne and Colleen Hughes of West Bountiful, Joe and Shirley Gonzales of Fredricksburg, TX, Theron and Norma Eberhard of Tremonton, UT, and Dale and Jacque Fuller of La Sal; and a very large extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were January 8, 2008. Interment at the La Sal Cemetery on Friday, January 11 at noon.

A special thanks to Lieutenant Al D. Christianson of the Utah Highway Patrol, Susan Hyde of Price City Police Department and to all the emergency personnel involved in rescue and transportation of the injured at the accident on January 2.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be made at any Zions Bank to the Kristin, Mikaela, or Brian Hughes fund or to Primary Children’s Hospital in Kristin’s name.
