Kaelin Perkins Nielson

March 7, 1971 ~ December 1, 2009

Kaelin Perkins Nielson died on December 1, 2009 of a cerebral aneurism.

She was born on March 7, 1971, in Monticello, UT to Larry and Muriel Perkins. She was raised in Blanding, UT most of her life, where she met her husband, Steven K. Nielson. They lived most of their marriage in the Salt Lake City area, Utah County, and most recently, Hooper, UT. She is the mother of three boys, Kyle (18), Richard (15), and Duston (13).

She loved being with her husband and boys, whom she adored. She also loved being with her extended family, especially with her mom and sisters on girls night outs. She loved to organize, cook, paint, and make crafts. She was very caring and enjoyed serving others.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, including Sunbeam teacher, Primary president, Relief Society secretary, and Scouts.

She has been working for American Monument, where she made many close friends and touched many lives.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Leon B. Black. She is survived by her husband and three sons; father and mother; sisters Tara (Don) Lloyd, twin sister Kestin (Nathan) Powell, Kassi (Jason) Parker, Kama (John) Petersberger, and Andra Koether; brother Cade (Tosha) Perkins; grandparents Demar and Helen Perkins, and Marjorie Black; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 4 in Hooper, UT. Graveside services were held Saturday in Blanding, UT.
