John Arlo Blankenagel

February 1, 1959 ~ December 4, 2011
John passed away December 4, 2011 in West Bountiful, UT at the age of 52. He was born on February 1, 1959 in Moab, UT to Harvey Charles and Norma Ruth Blankenagel, the fourth of five children.
He grew up on Rattlesnake Ranch in La Sal, UT. John graduated with a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University, where he met his wife Natsuko Kashiyama. John and Natsuko were married December 18, 1980 in the Manti, Utah LDS temple and raised four children together.
John was a caring person who was always willing to lend a hand to others. He would happily fix cars, make visits, or help with home projects. Most winter mornings he could be found outside plowing the walks of the houses on his street.
John is survived by his wife Natsuko, his children, Carl, Jason, and Bryan Blankenagel, and Alisa (Larrin) Wada, his parents Harvey and Norma, and his siblings, Robert, Becky (Craig) Johnson, James (Loris), and Bill (Donna).
Funeral services were held on December 9, 2011 in Bountiful. He is interred at the Centerville City Cemetery.
John will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
