Janice Kay Eberling April 1, 1950 ~ April 16, 2026
Janice Kay Eberling, age 76, passed away on April 16, 2026 in Blanding, UT with family by her side. She was born on April 1, 1950 in Magna, UT to the late Armond Myron Aldrich and Kathryn Lucile Peterson Aldrich.
Janice lived a life marked by devotion to her family, quiet strength, and steady kindness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin who touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and enduring presence.
She is survived by her husband Ronald Eberling, sons James Eberling and Justin Eberling, sisters Karen Doty and Diane Schoenherr, and grandchildren Alexandra, Peyton, Nixie, Molly, and Olen Eberling.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Lynn Eberling, and son, Jonathan Emil Eberling. She was also a loving sister to the late Michael Aldrich and will be remembered by many extended family members who cherished her deeply.
Janice grew up in Magna, UT and graduated from Cyprus High School. From an early age, she showed a love for music, old western movies, horses, and muscle cars, and she especially enjoyed the music of The Beach Boys.
Those who knew her in her younger years remember her as spirited and full of life, with a quiet appreciation for the things that brought her joy.
Though she was shy by nature, she found comfort and expression in playing the piano privately, where her love for music could be enjoyed in her own way.
Her working life reflected her diligence, skill, and adaptability. Janice worked for Sperry-UNIVAC, where she helped make microchips and components used by NASA in its rockets, a contribution she was proud of.
Later, she worked for Granite School District in various capacities, where she continued to serve others with dependability and care.
After moving to Blanding, Janice was hired by the State of Utah in what later became Workforce Services. Over the years, she moved through various positions with the state before eventually retiring from state service.
In every role she held, she brought responsibility, perseverance, and a willingness to do her best.
Family was always at the center of Janice’s life. After marriage and the arrival of her children, her focus turned lovingly to them, to camping, and to her lifelong love of horses.
She found joy in simple moments and treasured the time spent with those she loved.
Her grandchildren brought her great happiness, and she embraced her role as grandmother with warmth and affection.
She was also an aunt and cousin to many, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
During her final few years Janice suffered with many health issues, but never complained. She was always happy to see friends and family that came to visit and help her with her struggles.
Janice will be remembered for her devotion, her resilience, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and steadfast care that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
