Jane Rachael Gibbs Robson
September 12, 1923 ~ February 8, 2009
Jane, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at her home. She was born September 12, 1923 in Price, UT, the sixth child of Henry Thomas Gibbs and Sarah Chatterton Potter.
Jane grew up in Price with three brothers and four sisters.
Jane graduated from Carbon High School. She met her husband and sweet heart, Wallace William Robson at a high school dance in Monticello UT and married him in 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1964.
During her married years, she lived primarily in Portland, OR and in Utah (West Jordan, Brigham City, Orem, and North Ogden). Jane was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, including Primary President, Young Women’s President, Relief Society President and teacher. Jane also loved to sing in her ward choir.
After Wally died in 1982, Jane devoted full time to volunteering in the Provo LDS Temple.
She moved to North Ogden in 2002 to live by her son.
Despite chronic pain Jane remained good natured and showed us all how to “endure to the end”.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and fours sisters.
She is survived by her brother Richard Gibbs, son Gordon (Skip) (Marilyn) Robson, daughter Ann (Bobby) Gallegos, seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
