Greta “Janice” Davis

Greta Black Long Davis, 84, passed away May 24, 2009 in Frederick, MD.

She was born on August 16, 1924 in Dolores, CO, the daughter of David John and Ellie E. Billingsley Black.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served diligently in her various callings, including two missions served in Roanoake, VA and Washington, D.C.

She is survived by her children Theda (Doug) Coghlan, Linda (Dennis) Freeman, David (Susie) Long and Mischell (Bruce) Shaprio; 20 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 30, 2009, in Blanding, UT.

Viewings were Thursday, May 28, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Saturday at the church in Blanding, from noon to 12:45 p.m. prior to services.

Interment in the Blanding City Cemetery.
