Gregory William Suffern

July 17, 1958 ~ October 19, 2009

Gregory William Suffern passed away Monday October 19, 2009 in Orem, UT due to respiratory failure. He was born in Watseka IL on July 17, 1958 to William P. Suffern and Donna K. Hoover.

Greg grew up in Illinois, and Missouri and moved to Utah after graduating from high school.

He worked as a painter, which was not only a job, but became a passion.

He married Ellen Anderson and moved to Oak City, UT, where he raised his family and worked at IPPC power plant for 20 years.

He loved the mountains and enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fishing, camping, boating and walking the dog.

His greatest passion in life was his family. He was always there to help others, be it family or strangers.

Greg was admired by his family and friends for his hard work ethic, compassion and selfless giving. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1998 and was an active member.

He married Holly Randall Harris in 2006. Due to several back injuries, he retired and moved to West Jordan, UT.

He is survived by his wife Holly; children Trish (Donovan) Cheff of Springville, UT, Heather Suffern of Knoxville TN, Jared of Delta, UT; and mother Donna Suffern of Provo; granddaughters Keelie and Lolbi Cheff, brother Jeff Suffern and sisters Kelly Bebbe and Susan Gibas.

He is preceded in death by his father, William P. Suffern and brother Timothy Suffern.
