Frances Anne Williams Nelson

Frances Anne Williams Nelson, 79, of Bluff, UT and West Yellowstone, Montana, died July 4, 2015. Frances was born on October 12, 1935, in Santa Cruz, CA to Frank James and Mildred McLemore Williams.
She graduated from Rayville High School, then Centenary College where she was a sharpshooter on the rifle team. She followed her heart to Yellowstone to work at Old Faithful Inn.
As a police dispatcher in West Yellowstone, she was instrumental in saving lives during a gas leak. She helped build the First Baptist Church of West Yellowstone.
She lived in various locales, but eventually found her way to Bluff, a hiker’s heaven. She was an explorer and an artist.
Frances is survived by her children, Paul Scott Nelson, Craig Justin Nelson, Brett Anthony Nelson, and Kristy Ellen Nelson; granddaughters, Katherine Nelson, Allison Nelson Winkler, Rebecca Nelson, and Camryn Frances Nelson; and grandsons, Patrick Jorel Perico and Tristan San Juan.
She is also survived by her brother, Jerrold Norman Williams.
Private services were held in Colorado.  Flowers may be sent to Rocky Mountain Care Facility-835 E Vine St.-Murray, UT 84107. She loved giving flowers, so leave instructions for flowers to be shared among the residents. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter to honor Frances’ love of animals.
