Flora Johnson Graham

March 20, 1927 ~ August 17, 2010
Flora Johnson Graham, “Grandma Flo”, our dearly loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and wife, has returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on August 17, 2010.
Flora was born March 20, 1927 to Roy W. and Elnora W. Johnson in Sunnyside, UT. The family moved to Blanding, UT in 1932 after the death of their father.
From 1945 to 1946 she taught elementary school in Bluff, UT. This enhanced her love for children which she carried with her the rest of her life. Children of all ages gravitated to her.
She married William A. Graham on September 15, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and began a very honorable legacy of raising a family of four. They were her greatest joy and she was proud to be called “Grandma Flo”.
During her life she held many church positions. She was thrilled to have the opportunity to be in the “Singing Mothers Choir” which performed in the Tabernacle. She had various employment positions, working at the Church Offices, Farmers Insurance and Becton-Dickinson.
Besides her family, she enjoyed gardening, traveling and sewing. She also was an accomplished bowler and a fabulous cook and made her own cookbook to pass on to others.
“Grandma Flo” is survived by her husband, William; children - Linda, Bill Jr. (Christina) San Antonio, TX, Mark (Paula), Koreen (Randy Winkel) Seattle, WA; granddaughters - Bobi (Quinn) Whitlock, Toni (Chris) Young; three great-grandchildren - Porter, Kade and Savana Whitlock; sister, Velda Nielson; brother, Don (Clair).
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lyle and Roy. She has always looked forward happily for the long awaited grand reunion.
Funeral services were held August 23, 2010. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens in Salt Lake City.
