Emil C. Romero September 16, 1950 ~ August 26, 2022

Emil C. Romero, 71, of Pueblo, CO, passed away on August 26, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his grandson Giovanni Bueno, parents Mauricio and Dora Romero, brothers-in-law Raymond Jacobs, David Jacobs, and David Davila, nephews Isaac Iglesias, Ghassan Al-Hilal, Aaron Gonzales and Michael Jacobs, father-in-law Sam Jacobs Jr., and mother-in-law Stella McGaha.
He is survived by Nancy, his loving wife of 54 years, children Edward (Diana) Romero, Felicia (Paul) Bueno and Anna (Dennis) Rivera, grandchildren Derik Romero, Reese Romero, Mark Mauricio Bueno, Dante Bueno, Faith Bueno, Sareena Rae (Sasha) Rivera and Breeanna (Fred) Gallegos, great grandchildren Thalia Bueno, Terry Rivera, Evie Rivera, Sebastian Rivera, Jeremiah Gallegos, Mia Gallegos, Jaxson Gallegos, Jason Gallegos, and Gracie Gallegos, sister and brother-in-law, sisters/brothers-in-laws, and many extended family and friends.
Emil was born September 16, 1950, in La Junta, CO.
He married Nancy Jacobs on August 10, 1968.
He worked for many companies over the years, including Riviera Cabinets, Firestone Tires, Santa Fe Railroad, Alpha Beta Meat Packing Company, co-owned E & E Remodeling with his only son, and he built homes for Jones-Healy Realty.
His true joy was expressing his creativity via building and remodeling homes.
His ministry work began in the 1980s, when he was able to incorporate his love for building when he helped build orphanages, churches, schools and a well for a small village in Mexico.
He was also one of the lead volunteers for Promise Keepers for all the Denver Conferences.
He was instrumental in organizing the establishment of a Latino Assembly of God Church in Los Angeles, CA.
His ministry took him to Chile, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Haiti, Alaska, and Paraguay.
His last ministry took he and Nancy to Blanding, UT in 2005 to pastor a church and love on the Navajo and Ute Nations until 2018, when Emil became ill.
Prior to his illness, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and golfing. Spending time and creating memories with his family was a very special time for him.
He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
