Donna Marie Baum Giles

Donna Marie Baum Giles, passed away June 18, 2010 in the arms of her loving husband, Thomas Bert Giles.
She was born December 24, 1937, in Heber City, UT to Donald and Nellie Baum.
Bert and Donna were married on June 23, 1956; the marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Donna loved to spend time with her family and especially enjoyed cooking for and entertaining all who came into her home.
She was passionate about the Cub Scout program and received the Silver Beaver Award; she also spent time on the Akela’s council.
She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and enjoyed serving in the Relief Society and many other callings. She served two temple missions with Bert in Chicago and London and was an ordinance worker at the Provo Temple.
Donna had a zest for life and was a friend to everyone. She loved the youth and they liked to call her “Grandma Donna”. Her spunky personality and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
Donna is survived by her husband, Thomas Bert Giles; children, Don Steven (Susan) Giles of Sandy, UT and Georgia Dawn (Boyd) Whiting of Wallsburg, UT; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald S. Baum; mother, Nellie A. Baum and brother, Gerald G. Baum.
Funeral services were June 22, 2010 in Midway, UT. Interment followed the services in the Heber City Cemetery.
