Dick Neztsosie November 11, 1947 ~ November 2, 2024
Dickie was born on November 11, 1947 at Navajo Mountain, UT. He is the son of Redshirt Neztsosie and Clara Greyeyes.
He passed was on November 2, 2024 at the San Juan Regional Medical Hospital in Farmington, NM at 7:25 p.m.
Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
His hobbies included photography, gardening, hiking with his grandsons, and sharing stories of his life when he was a boy. He graduated from South Sevier High School in Richfield, UT.
Dick often told stories of his earlier life he remembered when he was in high school. He was given the choice of either joining choir or seminary, he chose seminary.
He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northern Indian Mission. He had the privilege of baptizing many people including some of his own children.
He then attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Management.
He went to work for the Navajo Tribe as a Purchasing Director. Then he worked for Utah Navajo Industries as the Director.
His last employment was with the Ute Tribe in Ignacio, CO where he was a purchasing agent. He retired due to his health.
Dick held many church positions throughout his life and was gifted with the ability to compose speeches for government personnel. He would speak with a soft tone and helped many people throughout his lifetime.
He is survived Renaa, his wife of 53 years, children Kristin, Shawn, Marcie, Kyle and Ashley, grandchildren Santana, Tyler, Rhiannon, Thurstan, Theron, Suri, Matthew, Jayden, Koston and Slohne, and great grand children Peyton and Maelie.
He was laid to rest on November 8, 2024 in Rainbow City Cemetery at Navajo Mountain, UT next to his mother and brother.
