Dennis B. Woodard

Dennis B. Woodard passed away at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO on April 23, 2018 due to complications from COPD and heart disease. He was 66 years old.
Dennis was born on March 13, 1952, in Nucla, CO to his parents, Christopher and Emily (Hoskins) Woodard.
He graduated from San Juan High School in Blanding, UT in 1970.
He was married to Illa Wagoner in 1989, and they made their home in Fort Lupton, CO, where they resided until his death. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.
Dennis enjoyed life and shared that enjoyment with everyone he met. He always showed a great love for his family and was eager to help them whenever they needed.
Dennis loved to tell stories and jokes, and was always the center of attention with any group of people. He always went out of his way to make people feel welcome.
He loved hunting, gardening, and took great pride in the appearance of his yard.
One of his favorite activities every morning was having coffee with his friends. He also loved his Broncos and arguing with Chiefs fans.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Illa, of the home in Fort Lupton, CO. He is also survived by two children, Renae Woodard Tinsley of Moab, UT and Brad Woodard of Monticello, UT.
He was the proud grandfather of four grandsons, Kade Somerville, Dylan Tinsley, Micheal Woodard, and Christopher Woodard.
He is survived by his brothers, Dan Woodard and wife Laura, and Don Woodard and wife Christine. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Jerry Wagoner and wife Stacy, Ed Wagoner and wife Marjorie; sisters-in-law Donna Reiss and husband Val, and Sandy Cline and husband Randy. He was also beloved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Emily, and his sister, Donna.
Dennis’s celebration of life was held April 28, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Lupton, CO. Memorials are asked to be made to North Colorado Medical Center.
