David A Gillette 

March 3, 1981 ~ December 22, 2021

David Gillette and his beloved niece, Lorelei Johansen, passed away unexpectedly, December 22, 2021. David was born in St. George, UT, on March 3, 1981 to Benjamin Aaron Gillette and Erlene Suhr.

He was raised in Fort Wayne, IN. He later moved to Utah to live and work with his dad for a year before leaving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two-year mission to the Ivory Coast in Africa.

When he returned from his mission, he lived in Tucson, AZ, where he met the love of his life, Candace. They were married on March 19, 2004.

They lived in Tucson, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT; and Evanston, WY before settling in Monticello with their eight children.

David enjoyed being a youth leader, hunting, camping, playing, and working outdoors with family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Candace, and beautiful children Hailey, David, Aaron, Kaitlynn, Mikaylah, Mckenzie, Tyler, and Jacob.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8 at the Monticello Stake Center, 165 South Main St., Monticello, UT.  Interment will be in the Monticello City Cemetery.
