Daniel Ray Cressler November 18, 1952 ~ July 5, 2026
Daniel Ray Cressler, a beloved dad and grandpa passed away on July 5, 2026 after a short illness. He was 74.
Dan will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sherry Musselman Robinson (Greg), Shane Musselman (Melody), and Jill Cressler Kennedy (Rhett Noteman); his brother, Roy Dean Cressler; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was welcomed home by his wife of 50 years, LeAnn Sober Cressler; his parents, Arthur “Crock” and Flora Dumbreck Cressler; his daughter, Stacy Musselman Johnson, and grand-daughter, Charlee Noteman, who preceded him in death.
Dan grew up with a strong competitive spirit and was a standout athlete at Monticello High School, where he participated in wrestling and football. He graduated from MHS in 1971. He went on to play football at Dixie College in St. George, UT.
Throughout his working life, Dan was known for his skill and steady work ethic as an underground miner and heavy equipment operator. He excelled in both lines of work and earned the respect of those who worked beside him.
He and LeAnn also owned and operated different businesses over the years. In 2020, Dan retired so he could devote himself to caring for LeAnn when she needed full-time assistance.
Dan had a lifelong love of hunting and the outdoors. He started archery hunting and found his passion. He was entering archery competitions as recently as 2024.
Family and friends are invited to gather in Dan’s memory at a memorial service at San Juan Community Church in Monticello, Utah on July 17 at 11:00 a.m.
