Charlotte J. Anderson

March 21, 1929 ~ August 12, 2016
Charlotte Jones Anderson passed away peacefully at home in her sleep, surrounded by family, on August 12, 2016 in Taylorsville, UT.
She was born March 21, 1929 in Hunter, UT to Mary Alice Warr and Willard J. Jones.
Charlotte graduated from Cyprus High School.
She married E. Curtis Anderson on August 21, 1950 in Las Vegas, NV. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Brigham Young University and remained a die-hard Cougar football fan - and probably still is.
Singing was always a big part of her life. She studied classical voice at BYU, and was lead singer in the Curt Anderson Orchestra - even singing at the Utah Governor’s Ball.
Charlotte served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as chorister, Relief Society president and seminary teacher.
She taught elementary school in Monticello for ten years.
In her later years, she enjoyed and travelled to Israel, Jordan, Peru, LDS Church History sites and many other places. She also belonged to Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and worked hard in her chapter, even serving as president for a time.
Charlotte was known for her spunk and fun personality as well as her love for all.
She is preceded in death by her husband; two grandsons; and four siblings (Paul, Tom and Elmer Jones and Irene Furness).
She is survived by her children Claudette Borrowman (Wayne), Nathan Anderson (Melissa), Eric Anderson (Daralynn), Phyllis Steele (Flint), and Jolene Hiatt (Steve); 30 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two sisters Marie Drown and Vernetta Sonderegger.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 18, 2016.
