Charles Collin Loveridge October 10, 1947 ~ February 22, 2026

Charles Collin Loveridge passed February 22 from pneumonia with sepsis complications. Chuck was born on October 10, 1947, and welcomed by parents Collin and Donna Christensen Loveridge.
He was very proud of his rich Southeastern Utah heritage, including being a fourth generation Moabite and a descendant of the Perkins family of the Hole N The Rock expedition.
Chuck grew up in Moab and among notable achievements was the first Eagle Scout in Moab.  He graduated from Grand County High School in 1964 where he was the Utah State Class B Golf champion in his senior year.  He subsequently graduated from the University of Utah.
He began his career with the United States Information Agency and began his career in Bogota, Colombia.
It is here he met Magdalena M and they married in 1973.  Chuck and Magdalena enjoyed a career that took them to Peru, India and Italy.
They retired to Bethesda Maryland in 1996 where Chuck served as an EMT with the Bethesda Chevy Chase Fire Department for 20 years.
Chuck spent the last few years providing care to Magdalena who suffered from dementia.
Chuck had a vast array of interests but especially enjoyed visiting the homeland searching for rock art, exploring new trails and the regional history.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, wife Magdalena, daughter Maribel, sister Lee and brother Kirk.
He is survived by a son Jean Louis of Honolulu, HI, brother Kim, many nieces, nephews and friend Cathy.
The family would like to thank the ER staff at Moab Regional Hospital for initial care and the IC unit at Intermountain St. Mary’s, especially Dr. Stevens and Dr. Forte for their care of Chuck.
Also, Baker Maktabi, a computer wizard, Catherine Kanyugo specialized in home care, both Bethesda residents and friends to Chuck and helped him and his wife Magdalena with day-to-day tasks and home care assistance. Laura Megalon, who managed Chuck’s property.
No special services are planned, his family appreciated and welcomed thoughts and prayers for his memory and repose.
