Carroll Dogan Goon

Carroll Dogan Goon of Peabody, MA went to be with his Lord on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018. Carroll was born on May 5, 1922 in Portland, ME the oldest son of Dogan and Toy Len Goon.
He graduated from Deering High School in 1942. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University in New York, NY and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
He married Marguerite Nichols on June 8, 1950.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea for one tour. Upon completion of his tour, he and Marguerite moved to Monticello, UT where they reared their four children.
He had a solo medical practice in Monticello for 30 years. Upon retirement, they relocated to Albuquerque, NM, enjoying the western climate and scenery.
Carroll is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marguerite; and three brothers Richard Len, Edward Guen, Albert Len.
He is survived by daughters Carroll and husband Willem of Toronto, Canada, and Kathy and husband Don of Portland, OR; sons, Jim and wife Leslie of Frisco, TX and Jon and wife Judy of Mt. Airy, MD; brother Arthur Len; sisters Doris Wong, Josephine Moy, and Janet Louie; three granddaughters, Maggy Grant, Jenny Goon, and Laura Goon; and many loving and caring nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at McIntosh Clubhouse Chapel, Brooksby Village, Peabody, MA. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation supporting military veterans and first responders.
