Carolyn “Cary” (Billsie) Ivan

August 23, 1968 ~ Sepember 1, 2009

Cary, 41, of Mesa, AZ was called home by our Heavenly Father on September 1, 2009 after a brief and unexpected stay in the hospital.

Cary dedicated her life to raising her children. She made it a point to let her children know daily how proud they made her.

She enjoyed her job of eight years working with the public at a local convenience store. She enjoyed meeting new people, making new friends, and made everyone she met feel welcome. 

She was a wonderful mother, an amazing daughter, an awesome sister, and a fun loving aunt.

She was born August 23, 1968 in Monticello, UT and moved to Farmington, NM, where she was raised. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1986.  During her time in school, she played cello in both the high school and in the San Juan Symphony Orchestra.

She will always be loved and missed deeply by everyone that has had the opportunity to know her.

She is survived by four wonderful children, Andrea, Joseph, Sarah, and Benjamin of Mesa, AZ, parents Donald and Sharon Gilge of Mesa, AZ, brother Wayne (Toni) Gilge of Cortez, CO, sister Dorena (Frank) of Bloomfield, NM, sister Marissa Gilge of Great Lakes, IL, grandparents Phil and Veloy Hawkins of Bloomfield, NM, nieces and nephews as follows: Kylie, Mistee, Stephen, Terry, Alyssa, Philip, Austin, Michael, and Alexis, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services were held September 8, 2009 in Bloomfield, NM.  Her final resting place is at West Hammond Cemetery in Bloomfield, NM.
