Caroline Watkins Amey

Caroline Watkins Amey, 62, passed way Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Davis Hospital. She was born November 25, 1948 in Monticello, UT to Ivan “Punk” and Irene Harvey Watkins.
She was raised and educated in Blanding. She attended Snow College and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering in 1985.
Caroline was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various callings. She was employed for Hill Air Force Base as a Chemical Engineer for 25 years.
She enjoyed crafts, knitting, sewing and making dolls. Her favorite pastimes included gardening and reading. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Caroline is survived by her children Eric, of Roy; Heather Holmberg and partner Mitch Walkington of Murray; seven grandchildren, Kara, Trisha, A.J., Myles, Melissa, Rickelle, Rylie; brothers Richard Watkins and Clyde Watkins, both of Blanding; and sister Marilyn Smith, of Kirtland, NM.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Bertha Snyder.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 19 at 2 p.m. at Wheat Ridge Ward Chapel, 5080 South 3100 West, Roy. The family met friends on Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 22 at 2 p.m. at the Blanding Cemetery.
