Carol Merlene “Sally” Gerard

Carol Merlene “Sally” Garard, 89, went peacefully home to the Lord on July 31, 2010, in Mesa, AZ.
She was born May 12, 1921 in Monticello, UT to Frank & Elizabeth (Woods) Halls.
Sally spent her younger years in Monticello, and her adult years following her mining engineer husband around the Four Corner states looking for the “Mother Lode”.
They moved to Arizona in 1952 and made Leisure World her home for over 30 years.
“Classy is the adjective most used to describe her. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Sally is survived by her loving children: Kenneth Jr. (Carol), Kaye Jones (Dan), Rollin (Jody), David and Ann Brown; sister-in-law Gwen Halls; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews: brother William (Helen) Halls.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; brothers DeVere (Margaret), Lowell Keith (Jane), Samuel, son-in-law Dan Brown and grandson Eric.
A memorial service was held Friday, August 6, 2010 in Mesa, AZ. Local arrangements were entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Funeral Care.
