Brittany Monique Lacy

November 27, 1998 ~ December 6, 2012
Brittany Monique Lacy passed away from this earth on December 6, 2012 at the tender age of 14, after suffering from a sudden, but drastic illness. She was surrounded by loving family when she died.
Brittany was born in St. George, UT on November 27, 1998 to John and Jenelle Lacy. She was the second of five children born to this union.
Brittany was energized with life from the very beginning, and as a toddler was given the nickname of “pinball” by her grandmother.
She always had a mind of her own and would have to be watched closely on family vacations so that she didn’t wander away.
As she grew older, she developed a passion for drama, singing, writing and drawing. This past summer she performed in the musical “Annie” and gained many new friends and experiences.
She doodled on any piece of paper that was laying around and was always looking for new characters that she could write into one of her stories.
Her spunky personality usually left an impression on those she met. She was a very social butterfly and valued her friendships like most people treasure the air they breathe.
Brittany was also blessed with deep compassion for those around her. When others had a personal problem that they were dealing with, Brittany took it upon herself to mourn with them and help where she could.
She was currently attending the eighth grade at Gateway Preparatory Academy in Enoch, UT. She was also a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had just been recognized as becoming a Mia Maid the Sunday before her passing.
Brittany is survived by her parents, John and Jenelle Lacy, and siblings Jordan, Kaitlyn, Jenna and Savanah, all of Enoch, UT. She is also survived by grandparents, Mike and Toni Lacy of Blanding, UT and Rowland and Christine Francom of Monticello, UT.
Funeral services were December 15 at the LDS Stake Center in Enoch. Burial at Enoch Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
Online condolences can be sent to www.sumortuary.com . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account in the Brittany’s name at Mountain America Credit Union.
