Betty June Hawkins Eckhardt

Betty June Hawkins Eckhardt, 58, passed away on August 3, 2012, in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born January 28, 1954, in Monticello, UT to Ormas and June Hawkins.
She married Charlie Eckhardt on January 28,1982, and later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 29, 1983.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, sewing, keeping a journal, cross-stitching, scrapbooking and traveling. But her true joy was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She served an LDS mission to Belgium, Brussels and home schooled three of her four children. Through this diligence, all four of her children attended college, setting a legacy for the next generation.
She is survived by her loving husband; children Brandon (Amy), Trevor (Teresa), Heather and Courtney; three grandchildren Emma, Alexis and Mason; five sisters; one brother; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Don; son Travis Michael; father-in-law and two great-nephews.
Funeral services were held on August 9, 2012 in Salt Lake City. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
