Beatrice L. Johnson

October 19, 1942 ~ September 18, 2008

Beatrice Lorraine Johnson, 65, passed away September 18, 2008 in Richfield. She was born October 19, 1942 in Burney, TX to Ben and Erah Eleanor Whitaker Roberts. She married Joe Everett Johnson July 19, 1960 in the Manti LDS Temple.

She was an adamant mother and servant of the Lord, raising a beautiful family. Bea was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities, including Young Women’s Secretary and Richfield Genealogy Library.

She served on the Boy Scout Board of Review, as Cub Scout leader, and also involved with the 4-H. She and her husband were camp hosts at Fish Lake for several years.

She taught English classes in college, was a member of the Globe High School marching band and was a drummer with the Southern Utah College marching band.

She is survived by her husband, Everett, of Richfield; children Kevin (Stacy) Johnson of Fredonia, AZ; Lisa Johnson of Sigurd, UT; Melinda Tolbert of Provo, UT; Cristy (Jimmie) Banks of Roosevelt, UT; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by son Brian and her parents.

Funeral services were Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Richfield 15th Ward Chapel (10 S 200 E). Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
