Barbara Butt Hildebrand

June 1, 1923 ~ May 16, 2014
Barbara Butt Hildebrand – beloved daughter, sister, aunt – passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, in Cedar Hills, UT. She was born on June 1, 1923, in Blanding, UT and grew up in Bluff, UT.
After graduating from high school, Barbara attended beauty school and moved to California.
Eventually, Barbara left California and moved to Salt Lake City to pursue her career as a beautician and cosmetologist, where she opened the first Merle Norman Cosmetics shop in Sugar House.
Barbara loved giving others advice while making them feel beautiful.
When Barbara wasn’t doing hair, she was in her yard making everything look perfect. She had the most beautiful rose garden.
She truly was a perfectionist in every thing she did and never left anything un-done. She made every holiday special. She was very gifted with her hands and was a great artist.
Services were held Friday, May 23, 2014 at the San Juan Mortuary with interment in the Blanding City Cemetery.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Uriah and Annie Butt; brothers, Dick (Nancy) Butt, Blanding, UT; Dean Butt; and Calvin (VerDonne) Blake, Blanding, UT; and sister Dorothy (John) Hurst.
Our special Barbara (Chung) will forever be in our hearts. “Until we meet again.” Love you always.
