Audrey Ovella Snyder

Funeral services for longtime Monticello, UT resident Audrey Ovella Snyder were held Saturday, April 5 at the Dove Creek First United Methodist Church.
Reverend Rick Carpenter officiated. Interment followed at the Monticello Cemetery.
Ovella was born December 12, 1918 in Utleyville, CO the daughter of Albert Watkins and Nora (Blendon) Elrod. She passed away at San Juan Hospital in Monticello on April 1, 2014 at the age of 95.
On March 6, 1942 at the First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, CO, Ovella married Walter Snyder. They shared 60 years of marriage before his death in 2002. She was a member of the Dove Creek First United Methodist Church.
Ovella enjoyed reading and drawing. She also loved to cook and she loved her roses. Spending time outdoors brought Ovella much enjoyment especially when she had a fishing pole in her hand. 
Surviving Ovella are her children, Nancy Spry of Colorado Springs, CO, Sidney (Phyllis) Snyder of Cortez, CO, Phyllis (Gary) Crowley of Eastland, UT, Fred Snyder (Jeannine) Snyder of Ucolo, UT; and 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Ovella is preceded in death by her husband Walter Snyder; parents Albert and Nora Elrod; son John Snyder; daughter Karen Snyder; grandson Bryan Snyder; son-in-law Earle Spry; sisters Avis Snyder, Vera Frisbie, and Alice Reising; and brother James Bosley.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Dove Creek or to the charity of one’s choice.
